Hi my name is Katie Crawford. I am a senior at Olathe Northwest. In the future I want to pursue a career in pediatric physical therapy. The past four years I have been a part of the e-Communication program at Olathe Northwest. I have spent the past two years in the entertainment video strand. Now obviously physical therapy and movie making do not have a lot in common but I have centered my work in this program to help me in my future. The past year I have been doing a large project with my class to create a feature film. In this project I did not run camera or direct, I organized the production. I was the Unit Production Manager for our film called One Too Many. I was in charge of making the schedule for film days and made sure all details were in order for filming each day. For my work on this project I have been endorsed in the e-Comm program for all of the hours I have spent contributing to this project.
Next year I plan to go to Pittsburg State University to start my career in physical therapy. I am excited to enjoy new experiences in college but sad to leave behind my e-Comm family. Through this program I have made friends that I will have for the rest of my life. Not only have I met some amazing people but I have been able to prepare for my future. I have learned how to organize major projects and manage time. My time in this program has been well spent. The people that I have met and the things that I have learned will stay with me for the rest of my life.
